Chief Financial Officer
A French/Malian descent with a professional experience in the financial field in three different countries.
Mamadou has worked for Deloitte & Co and PricewaterhouseCoopers for 5 years In both France and Luxembourg. He has been forging his experience and putting his knowledge of the world of finance to test in the world’s top two auditing firms.
He joined Albatros Energy Mali in august 2017.
Mamadou graduated from the Reims Management School (France) with honors in 2012, holding an MSc in management with a major in accounting and corporate finance. He also holds a Certification in Business Strategy from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing (China) along with a certificate in Finance, Contracts and Risk Mitigation for Private Power Projects in Africa from the University of Cape Town (South Africa).
He speaks fluently English, French, Bambara and has strong notions in Spanish.
Chief Executive Officer
A Swiss/Belgian national with more than 25 years of experience in international business development and electrical infrastructure project development with a focus on emerging countries.
Koen is co-owner and CEO of Redox Power Solutions and is CEO of Albatros Energy Mali.
Koen has worked with the ABB Group for more than 12 years. As Vice-President, he had management and operational responsibilities for the group in Sub-Sahara Africa and the Middle-East. He realized several acquisitions for the Group and built strong multicultural teams. As ABB’s Country Manager in Côte d’Ivoire he initiated the first IPP in West-Africa (Azito).
Koen holds an MSc in International Economics from the University of Leuven (Belgium) as well as an MBA from the Vlerick Management School (Belgium).

A Malian national, Fatoumata joined Albatros Energy Mali in July 2017 after 12 years of experience in various administrative, sales and education positions. Fatoumata is an active member of many business organizations such as GMSDC (Georgia Minority Suppliers Development Council), Phi Beta Lambda and SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) Chapter 2005-2008.
Fatoumata has worked in many national and international companies such as:
– UNMAS (the United Nations Mines Action Services) as Project Assistant for Capacity Development and support to National Authorities in Bamako, Tombouctou and Gao;
– Baltimore and Anne Arundel County Public schools as trainer for Substitute teachers;
– ACRT GROUP as chief of Operations in liaison with Huawei Technology;
– ISC Business School as Chief Academic Officer and Brand Management Professor;
– Sears Holdings and JcPenneys as HR Assistant and Credit Card Customer Service Representative.
Fatoumata studied in Mali and in the United States; she holds a Master’s Degree in Project Management, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Human Resources and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Small Business Management.
She speaks fluently English, French and Bambara.
A Malian national with 38 years of experience as a mechanical and power systems engineer.
Seydou was knighted by the National Order of Mali in January 2015.
Seydou served mainly in the electricity utility company in Mali, first as manager of operations (Power transmission and energy management for ten years), then as director of planning and large projects for approximately six years. In this capacity, he participated in the implementation of all major EDM SA projects during his career (hydropower plants and associated transmission systems in Sélingué and Manantali, Balingué thermal power stations, Darsalam and SOPAM, the electrical interconnection Mali-Ivory Coast etc ..)
He has joined on the 1 st of January 2017 Albatros Energy Mali as Technical Manager and is responsible for the technical supervision of the construction of the 90 MW Albatros thermal power plant project in Kayes.
He holds an engineering degree from the Special School of Mechanics and Electricity of Paris – SUDRIA (1980).
He is fluent in French, Bambara and English.
Yerorou joined Albatros Energy Mali in July 2017 after 18 years experience in the drilling and blasting industry.
Yerorou has held various HSE positions in greenfield exploration projects, open-pit and underground mining operations in West-Africa.
He has worked with :
– West African drilling services (WADS) as HSE officer;
– Boartlongyear as EHS and Training Coordinator for Mali, Senegal and Guinea;
– Bulk Mining Explosives (BME) as West Africa HSE Manager;
– Major Drilling International as HSE Coordinator for Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire.
Yerorou studied at the Public Administration Department at the Bamako (Mali) National School of Administration and holds a Drilling EHS leadership and train the trainers certificate.
