Assanatou joined Albatros Energy Mali in November 2020 as the technical director. She co-managed national electrical grid improvement projects. As a business-savvy engineer with an international career, she developed a passion for energy and sustainability.

Prior to joining Albatros, Assanatou was Project Manager for MES International where she co-manages the construction of a solar minigrid system in Segou and Sikasso. She has also worked for Apex Clean Energy in Virginia as the clean energy business development engineer and served as electrical engineer for Mali Electric Service.

Mrs Cisse has a good experience with small and large-scale clean energy projects, innovation consulting and data analysis. She holds a Master of Electrical Engineering with a major in power systems from the National Engineering School of Tunis. She also has a Master in Engineering Management from Duke University.

Assanatou has won the awards of the Malian National Scholarship for Engineering Studies. She was also rewarded with the Presidential Excellence Award for scoring the nation’s 2nd highest, for Females in Scientific Baccalaureate.

She speaks fluently English, French, Bambara, and has a good understanding of Spanish.

Rakib Abodji is the Chief Financial Officer of Albatros Energy Mali. He was appointed to this position in October 2021. Passionate about the accounting, finance and audit profession, he previously worked for renowned firms. In 2014, he became a Junior Accountant and financial auditor at such as KPMG in Togo. In 2015, Rakib joined EXCO EGCC International where he worked as a Senior Accounting and Financial Auditor before joining the Albatros Energy tribe.

Rakib is a Chartered Accountant and graduated from the National Institute of Economic and Accounting Techniques in Paris and the Academy of Rennes. He holds a diploma in Management and Accounting (DSGC), and two advanced diplomas in Management and Accounting.

He is fluent in French and English.

Yerorou joined Albatros Energy Mali in July 2017 after 18 years of experience in the drilling and blasting industry. He has held various HSE positions in exploration projects, surface and underground mining in West Africa. He worked with:

– Drilling services in West Africa (WADS) as HSE agent;
– Boartlongyear as EHS and training coordinator for Mali, Senegal and Guinea;
– Bulk mining explosives (BME) as West Africa HSE manager;
– Major Drilling International as HSE Coordinator for Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire.

Yerorou studied at the Department of Public Administration of the National School of Administration in Bamako (Mali) and holds a leadership role in Drilling EHS and training of trainers.
