As the pandemic continues, communities are finding solutions about how they can keep themselves and each other safe.

  Albatros Energy and its partners are deeply concerned for the health and well-being of the people of Hawa-Dembaya community and surroundings.

As a response to the outbreak of COVID-19, Albatros Energy through PIDG and EAIF donated a number of items to the local woman and men to curb the spread of the disease. The items donated includes 8 sewing machines, raw materials such as fabric, elastic bands, sewing thread and packaging for making the face masks for the community.

Receiving the donations, Albatros Energy did not only contribute to the production of face mask against the COVID-19, but in creating job opportunities for 8 local women and urging them to be creative and to immediately star using the donated items for the benefit of the local population.

I am full of joy receiving this sewing machine from Albatros. it will allow me to support myself without putting pressure on my husband, Thank you Albatros.

Within 12 days from the donation, 10’300 protection masks that were manufactured by 19 tailors from Hawa-Dembaya. All inhabitants of the community of Hawa-Dembaya received a protective mask and are aware of the risk of the pandemic. Moreover, eight women were given the opportunity to start their own business.
